American Friends of the FCI-IC is a non profit organization directed to increase the donor base of the Fundación Cardioinfantil Instituto de Cardiología, Inc. and to promote an international awareness of its mission and the social impact of its activities. The Hospital FCI-IC was created in 1973 and is located in Bogotá, Colombia, where poor children from throughout the country with cardiovascular problems receive the highest quality treatment and the most technologically advanced cardiac health care service at no cost.

That is why, through American Friends of FCI-IC has been implemented an international “Donors with a Heart Program” in order to improve the Foundation's income flow to give coverage to a greater number of low-income children.
